"God is eagerly waiting for the chance to answer your PRAYERS and to fulfill your DREAMS. But He can't if you don't PRAY and He can't if you Don't DREAM." Jeffrey Holland

Family Reunion

These cuties and their parents congregated at our house for a week.  Sleeping quarters were mainly the dining room (for the children).  The fun was simply 'over the top'.  We:
Went swimming at Lura and John's

Painted Tee Shirts
Took an Adventurous walk in the country (around the corner)
Acted silly
Played in the river created by a broken fire hydrant around the corner
Attended a "U2" cover band concert
Learned about Testimony Gloves
Canned Tomatoes

And went to the beach.  We have 2 Gidget's.

These little girls were entertained for hours as they practiced 'surfing'

The above 3 photos were taken during the Talent Show!

Joy

"Joy is the feeling of grinning inside" Melba Congrove
If that is true...then what is Grinning Inside and OUT?
Rejoicing.
What makes me Grin on the Inside and Out?
FAMILY
Recently our children and grandchildren gathered to celebrate the baptism of Italia. She looked beautiful and felt excited for her special day.

It was a week of fun and games with our family.  Rebecca and Ben were our host. All the children slept in the cleaned out garage which not only contained beds for them but a TV and fan.  Between swimming in their pool and playing in the garage we hardly saw the children.  Watching them enjoy each other was a great joy.  Craig and I are grateful that our family would make such tremendous efforts to come together.  Shannon drove with her 2 boys. Joel and Lori made the very long trek all in one day. Jeff and Kelli flew over.   Ben took off work!  Rebecca was a gracious hostess as we swooped down upon their home.
Here are the faces of our grandchildren.  They squeeze my heart!

 Steele age 14

Slater age 11

Carter age 11

 Micah and Corbin age 6

Cooper age 4

Makayla and Italia age 8

Ledger age 1
Ledger's birthday was celebrated while we were there.  He loved opening presents and eating a chocolate cupcake.  This little guy is very easy going and adorable.

FRIENDS
Jan and I are so grateful to have our dear friends, John and Lura, home recuperating from their terrible accident (This isn't the greatest photo...sorry, Lura.  What kind of blogger am I?)

JESUS CHRIST

He is the reason we can Rejoice.

It is because of Jesus Christ. Only because of Him.  Through Him there is Hope, Joy, Kindness, Forgiveness, and Love.  Because of Him we have commandments which when obeyed cause Peace, Happiness and Confidence.  Because of Him a way is provided to Return to the presence of Heavenly Father. Because of Him we can Love and Be Loved.

Micah

MICAH!!!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE YOU!!

This is Micah...the boy Grandma misplaced in her last post.
(You can't believe all the trouble I am having downloading photos. I think it is a setting in my computer because I had the same problem trying to download a photo to Facebook--which I just joined thanks to the many friends that keep inviting me)

He belongs to this cute family ( I am trying to make up for the countless tears that have been shed in behalf of forgotten Micah by giving him lots of attention)

Here Micah returns hand in hand with Uncle Jeff to our campsite after a successful day of swimming and fishing.

The county fair had a petting zoo.

Speaking of the FAIR!
Jeff, Krysta, Joel, Lori, Micah, Makayla and Craig and I all went to the fair together. This is one of Craig's and my favorite things to do-go to the fair! Well, we all wanted to have funnel cake. Since we had never heard of Mexican Funnel cake we thought we would share one and then get the traditional version later. AND since there were so many of us Craig decided to get the largest version. He had NO IDEA how LARGE LARGE would be!

How large was it? Strangers were taking pictures of it as Jeff carefully walked it over to the table where we all sat STUPIDFIED.

Notice Makayla eyeing it. It was larger than her head! than anyones head. And certainly larger than our combined stomachs!

We did our best...and no one ate the rest of the night.
